The Master’s Degree in Business Process Planning and Management aims for preparing professionals capable of designing, planning, optimizing and controlling the productive systems and business services, leaning on analytical methods and IT tools, as well as on principles of Business Administration and Management. It is fundamentally addressed to active professionals, graduated, licenced and senior engineers specialised in Technical and Basic Sciences and Social Sciences whose formation is related with Business Administration and Management.
The Master’s Degree provides an integrated perspective of how to operate in a business environment which is changing, highly competitive and fully inscribed in the information society. The business management concept is very large and, thus, managers’ formation covers several areas of knowledges such as Business Organisation and Management, Statistics and Operative Research, Informatics and Organization Engineering. It aims to train professionals with a multidisciplinary formation, able to analyse problems and to come up with solutions in many fields of the business environment, as production planning, demand forecasting and inventory management, quality control, distribution and logistics, projects management, financial management or internationalization process. This multidisciplinary formation is complemented with seminars and activities which allow students to acquire transversal competences such as social skills, analytics, communicative skills, affective skills, organizational skills and innovative skills.
The Entity responsible of the Master’s Degree if the Faculty of Economics and in its teaching participate the Business Mathematics Department, Statistics and Operative Research, “Juan José Renau Piqueras” Department de Business Management, Accounting and Informatics of Universitat de València; Statistics and Applied Operative Research Deparment and Business Quality and Organisation Department of the Universitat Politècnica de València and companies such as the Instituto Tecnológico de Informática, Auren y Dublino Asociados.
The Master’s Degree which enables to access to two distinguished doctoral programmes by the Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia are: “Statistics and Optimisation” and “Business Management”.
