Consolación Adame-Sánchez is Associate Professor of Management since October 2002. She has participated in numerous research projects in different fields of management: organizational design, mergers and acquisition, entrepreneurship; innovation or human resources among others. I have received some awards, these are the more important: Best Doctoral Thesis Award 2016 from University of Valencia and awards for the Best Paper of the GIKA Congress in the years 2013 and 2016. Consolación Adame-Sánchez has published a number of high-quality academic papers in international and domestic journals such as, “Journal of Business Research”, “Management Decision”, “International Journal of Innovation Management”, “ICE. Degree in Physics (specialty of Electricity, Electronics and Computing) and PhD in Computer Engineering by the University of Valencia. He has been the Dean of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the Universitat de València ETSE-UV (2009-2015) and Vice-chancellor of Information and Communication Technologies of the Universitat de València (2002-2006). He has participated in publications in books, articles in specialized journals and scientific-technical documents of Spanish and European research projects and has presented papers in dozens of scientific congresses in his field. Its current lines of work are databases and data science, learning management systems and computer systems for process management and quality. He teaches, among other subjects, Database subjects in the Degree in Computer Engineering and in several masters degrees such as the Master in Data Science. |

José Pla-Barber is a doctor in Economics with an extraordinary doctorate award and European certificate, Full Professor of Management at the University of Valencia and associate researcher at the “John Dunning Center” of the University of Reading (U.K). In the international arena, he has been vice-chair of the European International Business Academy (2012-2018) and chair of the Academy of International Business Western Europe Chapter (2010-2018). Since 2019 he is a Fellow of the European International Business Academy. Professor Pla-Barber has been a visiting professor at the University of Reading (UK), Norwegian School of Management (Norway), King’s College London (U.K) and ESCE Paris. At the University of Valencia, he has been Director of the Management Department (2004-2008), director of the doctorate in Management (2008-2012) and director of the Master in Business Strategy (2012-2018). He has supervised 21 doctoral theses, 6 research projects of the National Science and Technology Plan and numerous applied projects financed by the BBVA Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry, the Spanish association of home-textiles or the Generalitat Valenciana. His main lines of research are the analysis of the internationalization of the company, the management of the multinational company and the study of international competitiveness of the industry, having published more than 70 articles in prestigious journals such as International Journal of Management Reviews, Global Strategy Journal, Management International Review, International Business Review, Journal of Business Research, International Marketing Review, Scandinavian Journal of Management, Journal of International Marketing, Services Industries Journal, Journal of Economic Geography, or British Journal of Management. His book "International Business Management" is considered a bestseller by Pearson Education publishing house. He has recently published the books "International Business Management" in the McGraw-Hill publishing house and "Caixa Ontinyent: more than words, facts". His teaching specialty in International Management has led him to give numerous lectures and undergraduate, master and postgraduate courses in a wide range of Spanish and international universities (among others, University of Reading, Glasgow University, Uppsala University, Norwegian School of Management; ESCE Paris, Novancia Paris, Utrech University, University of Havana, UNED, UCR and TEC in Costa Rica, ICESI, University of Antioquia, Universidad del Valle, Universidad del Norte and EAFIT in Colombia, UNAM of Mexico, APEC of Dominican Republic, ORT Uruguay, ADEX Peru, etc.). Currently, Professor Pla-Barber advises different companies in the field of their international strategy and is the Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of Caixa Ontinyent.

Doctor in Mathematics and professor in the Department of Mathematics for Economics and Business at the Faculty of Economics, University of Valencia. My research has focused on the field of Operations Research, and I have mainly worked on Project Scheduling and Planning, Machine Scheduling, Hospital Process Management, Warehouse Management, and Real-Time Resource Management. A defining characteristic of my research trajectory has been my interest in studying real-world problems arising in business environments. My research has been carried out within the TEGEM group (www.uv.es/tegem) at the University of Valencia. The results of our work have been published in various book chapters and international peer-reviewed scientific journals. I am the author of numerous presentations at national and international conferences and have participated in a large number of national research projects as well as in collaboration agreements with different companies. I teach in the Master’s Degree in Business Process Planning and Management at the Faculty of Economics, University of Valencia (https://www.uv.es/masterpgpe). The Master’s Degree aims for preparing professionals capable of designing, planning, optimizing and controlling the productive systems and business services, leaning on analytical methods and IT tools, as well as on principles of Business Administration and Management. It is fundamentally addressed to active professionals, graduated, licenced and senior engineers specialised in Technical and Basic Sciences and Social Sciences whose formation is related with Business Administration and Management. |

My research interests focus on different aspects of modeling under uncertainty, a recurring theme throughout my career as a researcher. I have worked mainly on modeling in the field of life sciences (epidemiology, biology, etc.). The problems addressed have been approached through mathematical and/or statistical modeling, incorporating new methodological results as well as contributions to estimation methods. My publications have appeared primarily in the categories of Statistics and Probability, Applied Mathematics, and Computer Science. Over the past ten years, my contribution to knowledge generation has followed two main directions: (a) the modeling of omics data and (b) the modeling of infectious diseases. |

I am Full Professsor at the University of Valencia, Faculty of Economics, holding a PhD in Management and Strategy (with extraordinary doctorate award in Economics). My areas of specialization are International Business, Innovation and Organizational Learning. I teach these topics in Spain and Latin America at undergraduate, master and doctorate level, as well as courses on research methodology. I have supervised more than 10 doctoral dissertations. My research interests focus on analysing the organization of the international company (global strategy and inter-regional expansion, global value chains, HQ-subsidiary relationships, innovation and organisational learning) both in MNCs and SMEs. On these topics I have published a number of papers in well-known journals in the field of management. I am currently Senior Editor for the European Journal of International Management, Associate Editor in Business Research Quarterly and consulting editor in the International Journal of Management Reviews. I am also member of the board (Spanish representative) at the European International Business Academy (EIBA). As a member of the research group Inglobest I have lead and participated in research projects from public funding programmes, as well as many applied projects aiming to promote firms’ international competitiveness with relevant public institutions such as Fundación BBVA, Chamber of Commerce, IVACE, Consejo Intertextil Español o ATEVAL. I have been co-director of the Master in Business Strategy (Master en Estrategia de Empresa) of the University of Valencia, 2018-2022. Formerly I held positions to promote the internationalization of the Faculty of Economics in my university (2012-2016) such as the coordination of international dual degrees for the Degree in International Business and the movility coordination for the degree in Business Administration.

Maria Orero-Blat, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Valencia. She holds a PhD from the Universitat Politècnica de València and a double international degree in International Business from the University of Valencia and Hochschule Bremen (Germany). She has also completed a Master’s Degree in the Creation and Management of Innovative Companies (University of Valencia) and a Master’s Degree in Digital Business (Universitat Politècnica de València). Her research activity focuses on entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and organizational culture, with a career characterized by strong international projection and participation in competitively funded public research projects. She is a member of the MEYES Research Group at the University of Valencia and the Research Group on Organizational Culture, Capabilities and Knowledge for Value Creation at the University of Seville, actively collaborating with national and international research teams. She has carried out research and training stays at internationally renowned universities and institutions, including the University of Turin (Italy), Edinburgh Napier University (United Kingdom), Hochschule Bremen (Germany), and the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, gaining extensive experience in international academic mobility. She maintains a close link with her socio-economic environment and knowledge transfer, participating in international cooperation projects focused on entrepreneurship and digital transformation, as well as in university–industry collaboration initiatives. She is an R&D&I researcher and trainer at the spin-off Minzer®, and actively collaborates in institutional programs promoting entrepreneurship and innovation.
