AIMPLAS-UV Chair will held a new session of the series ChatCPT: Seminars on Science and Technology of Plastics, with a seminar dedicated to the development of sustainable materials from natural proteins. The event will take place on 31 October 2025 at 12:30pm at the Room 4.0.4 of School of Engineering (ETSE-UV) of the Universitat de València.
The session will have Dr. Antonio J. Capezza, researcher of Department of Fibre and Polymer Technology of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Sweden), who will be the speaker of the conference entitled ‘New protein-based materials’. In the conference, he will show his most recent researches on biodegradable materials derived from natural proteins, designed as sustainable alternatives to conventional plastics in disposable sanitary products.
This seminar will offer students and research staff a unique opportunity to know first-hand advanced approaches in the design of functional biopolymers, a key field for the transition to more environmentally friendly materials.
