Red was a colour highly prized in antiquity and with high symbolic value throughout history. Throughout the course students will be introduced to the study of the most important raw materials from which the colour was obtained and the technology needed to dye different textile fibres. During the practice sessions students will prepare different dye baths to be applied on the fibres.
