Seminar Cycle by the Chair for Agri-food Cooperatives

Date: 21 january 2020 at 15:30 to 18:00. Tuesday.

Place: Research Departments

Description:

On 21st January, the conference under the title Las Cooperativas Agroalimentarias en España: situación actual y retos de futuro en el ámbito jurídico, fiscal y contable (Agro-food cooperatives in Spain: current situation and future challenges in the legal, tax and accounting fields) will take place. This activity is part of the cycle of seminars that the Universitat de València's Chair for Agri-food Cooperatives will give in collaboration with various universities in Spain during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Among the activities carried out by the Chair are seminars for students, which seek to disseminate the virtues of the cooperative model, in general, and the agri-food model, in particular, among university students. The aim of these seminars is to increase the number of young people who see agri-food cooperativism as an ideal field for the development of their professional career, either in the academic or technical field. Thus, it is complemented by the Prize for the Best Academic Work (Degree’s Final Project, Master’s Degree Final Project or Doctoral Thesis) to encourage Degree’s or Master’s Degree students in legal, accounting or tax subjects to receive specialized training in this field.

The seminars are developed in collaboration with different universities in the country. At the University of Valencia, the event will be held on 21st January at 3.30 p.m. in Classroom B3 of the Research Departments on the Tarongers Campus, with a conference entitled Cooperativas Agroalimentarias en España: situación actual y retos de futuro en el ámbito jurídico, fiscal y contable (Agri-food Cooperatives in Spain: the current situation and future challenges in the legal, tax and accounting fields), given by Tomás Rojas Pacheco, Head of the area of Finance, Tax and Internal Management of Agri-food Cooperatives in Spain. This activity is aimed at students and alumni of the Master's Degree in Social Economics organised by IUDESCOOP, as well as the rest of the academic community and other interested people.
