El grup de sistemes d'informació i comunicacions (GSIC) es va crear al desembre de 2005. El grup treballa actualment en el camp de les comunicacions sense fils i mòbils, incloent solucions avançades multi-antena amb cooperació i coordinació, ràdios cognitives, algorismes d'estimació de canal, etc. El grup ha participat en nombrosos projectes d'investigació nacionals i europeus, com:
