The University of Valencia’s commitment to Open Science has been evident since 2008, when it joined the Berlin Declaration and launched its institutional repository, RODERIC. Over the years, this commitment has also materialised through the progressive improvement of existing open science infrastructures, the implementation of new ones, as well as the adhesion, in December 2022, to COARA, which integrates the principles of open science into research assessment.
In 2025, the University of Valencia approved its Open Science Policy (AGUV 256/2025), which establishes the creation of an Open Science Committee as a body for coordination, supervision, and technical and strategic advisory activities in the field of open science.
This website will provide information on the work of the Open Science Committee and will serve as the access point for strategic advisory enquiries addressed to the university community.
