As a society, we currently aim at having a more sustainable health system, in which the individual assumes an active role regarding health care, while adopting healthier lifestyles that help prevent secondary pathologies and comorbidities.
In this regard, and as its research activity, this group proposes to determine ways of promoting health through Physical Therapy, taking into account society’s perspective of constant change.
This research group stands out in particular due to its multispecialty in the field of Physical Therapy, given the advantage that combining various innovative specialisations implies in this area.
The goal of this group’s research is to study, from the perspective of different PT specialties, several scopes of assessment and intervention in healthy individuals (promoting health), in health problems of various kinds (chronic pain, haemophilia and other coagulopathies; neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory and musculoskeletal pathology; women’s health) across different population groups. Other aspects related to professional ethics and health in Physical Therapy are also studied.
