"The right to housing for older people: a multidisciplinary study of the conditions for its effectiveness and normative proposals” CIGE/2024/131 (Emerging Research Group of the Generalitat Valenciana) focuses on housing for older people from a rights-based perspective, addressing three distinct yet interrelated main ideas. These ideas correspond to factors that often hamper the freedom for older people to make decisions about where to age, such as the need for care and changes in individuals’ physical and mental conditions, economic necessities, and needs arising from the environment and climate change.
