
PhD student Mercedes Taroncher Ruiz has carried out a stay at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rockester, Minnesota (USA) with Dr. Alexander Revzin.
During the stay in the Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering, at the Center for Regenerative Medicine of the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA), Mercedes Taroncher has collaborated in the fabrication of microfluidic devices to evaluate mechanisms of action, metabolic activity and inflammatory markers of liver cell spheroids (HepG2 and LX2) exposed to mycotoxins.
The stay has been of great interest and has established an interesting research relationship and collaboration with the Mayo Clinic group.
