The Traditional Music and Dance Chair has opened the call for papers for the symposium that will be held in October. The deadline for the submission of papers is 15 September.
The Traditional Music and Dance Chair, which has started its activity in 2023 thanks to the agreement signed between the Universitat de València and the Valencian Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Valencian Government, is preparing a symposium that will take place at the Faculty of Geography and History of the Universitat de València on 26 and 27 October 2023.
Entitled "A look at the current panorama: persistence, ruptures, threats and strengths", the meeting aims to be a forum for dialogue for researchers, performers, cultural agents, etc., to share experiences and studies on roots music, traditional dance and festive theatricality.
In order to participate in the symposium, you must submit your paper proposal through the online form before 15 September. Notification of acceptance or rejection of papers will be on 25 September.
