
The event took place on 4 October at the Díaz Pintado centre.
The Díaz Pintado Centre in Burjassot hosted the IV Jornada Técnica de la Cátedra de Trabajo Autónomo de la Universitat de València ('4th Technical Conference of the Chair for Self-Employement of the Univeristat de València'), focused on entrepreneurship from a sustainability perspective and in the analysis of the legal, fiscal, work and social security in self-employment. The event was organised in collaboration with Aula Empresocial, restating its commitment with trainig and dissemination on self-employment.
Manuel Alegre, director of the Chair for Self-Employement and professor of Labour at the Universitat de València, was the responsible for the inauguration and he highlighted here the importance of promoting meeting spaces between experts, institutions and potential entrepreneurs.
The main lecture of the conference was taught by Antonia Sajardo, full profesor of Applied Economics, who offered a reflexion 'Emprendimiento y Trabajo Autónomo' ('Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment'). The event was moderated by Emili Altur, manager of CEMEF.
Then, there was a pannel discussion on technical lectures by Pilar Alguacil, professor of Tax Law and director of Aula Empresocial, who adressed the legal and fiscal aspects of self-employment; and Manuel Alegre, who delved into labour implications and social security. The panel was moderated by Antonia Sajardo.
This fourth edition consolidates the technical conferences of the Chair as a exemplary space for interdisciplinary analysis of self-employment and the encouragement of a sustainable and guaranteed entrepreneurship.
