The Chair for Self-Employment of the Universitat de València has celebrated its 1st Conference a dissemination session focused on the main challenges and characteristics of autonomous work, in collaboration with Aula Empresocial.
The event, which took place at the La Torre neighbourhood (València), had a panel discussion on technical lectures in whiche renowned experts in the academic and professional sector intervened. The conference was inaugurated with a lecture on entrepreneurship and self-employment by Antonia Sajardo, professor of the Department of Applied Economics and researcher of the Polibienestar University Institute.
Then, key questions were adressed, such as the legal-tax regime for self-employed people, in this case by Pilar Alguacil, professor of Financial and Tax Law of the Universitat de València and the regime of self-employment work, analysed by Alberto Ara, president of ATA Comunidad Valenciana. The panel was moderated by Antonia Sajardo.
This first conference marks the start for all the public activities of the Chair for Self-Employment, created with the purpose of generating knowledge, promote debate and bring attention to the reality of self-employment from an academic and social perspective.
