The co-director of Aula Empresocial of the Universitat de València, Pilar Alguacil Marí, participated in the conference “Housing and Social Economy”, held from April 23 to 25, 2026 at the University of Almería.
The event, organized by the Chair in Social Economy of the University of Almería, brought together specialists from the academic, institutional, and professional fields to address the main challenges related to access to housing from the perspective of the social economy.
Within the program, Professor Pilar Alguacil took part in the round table devoted to housing cooperatives based on use-right arrangements and cohousing, where the main legal and tax implications of this model were analyzed, as well as its potential for development as a sustainable housing alternative.
Participation in this type of academic forum reinforces the commitment of the Aula Empresocial to research and knowledge transfer in the field of the social economy, as well as its involvement in the analysis of new forms of access to housing from a legal and tax perspective.
