
The main objective of the project was to improve production, through the expansion of infrastructure and energy improvement, of an enriched flour production line to make baby food from the transformation of grains and legumes from the local market. The expansion and improvement of production increase the yield obtained by the product.
The resulting product is a mixture of flours, nutritionally suitable for infant feeding, with which to prepare porridge after cooking it in water, broth or milk. This product put up for sale by the APFG serves to self-finance the production itself, to create and maintain jobs in relation to said production and to obtain benefits with which to finance new initiatives in the formation, social and employment fields of women. On the other hand, taking advantage of the improvement of the facilities, different food products based on local production will be prepared for sale and consumption by the population, which improve nutrition, eating habits and access to food.
