RESULTS
Since 2007 we have been working with Peru. Originally, the first Breast Milk Bank was created in Lima, and later with a project subsidized by the AECID and the UV, the Peruvian Basic Network of Breast Milk Banks was created, in two new hospitals; one in Lima and another in Cusco.
The current project aimed to create the fourth Breast Milk Bank in the country, to adapt each of the Peruvian regions. Although no expenses have been incurred, the results achieved have been the creation of the infrastructure of the Breast Milk Bank in Trujillo, and adaptation of the spaces where said location is housed.
On the other hand, and to optimize the equipment, the Peruvian engineers in Trujillo have been working to have improved equipment for the facilities. However, the political situation in the country and the slowdown in the generation of new equipment has resulted in the UV subsidy not being spent, although the facilities and new equipment are finalized for a future new project.
