In latin, Carmen means poetry, charm, magic formula, properties of this opera's character. What if Carmen didn't die? What if she could remember her life and share her perspective on her last days?
These questions ar the starting point of this spectacle. A gipsy free woman who comes from famous women of the global literature like Cervantes' "Preciosa" or Víctor Hugo's "lEsmeralda" whom we have read. She would become today's femme fatal. We also took inspiration in the rest of Carmen judged by history due to their love for freedom and owning their own fate.
Carmen introduces a new moral code nearing existentialist ethics. This spectacles goes through Carmen's life with an intergeneration cast from the UV dance courses.
