Improving mental health is one of the greatest challenges facing our society given the devastating effects that mental disorders have on individuals and society as a whole. Emotional disorders, such as anxiety and depression, are the most common mental disorders and they are overwhelming primary care services in public health systems. This highly-specialised seminar aims to shape and implement a psychology project for primary care that provides scientific and professional support for the new Law 8/2022 of 29 December. It will focus on developing clinical practices in primary care within the Valencian public health system that follow the IAPT and PsicAP programmes. It will address key issues such as, implementing psychological therapy in primary care, the use of a protocol-based model of integrated IT Health tools for collecting and processing large quantities of data, as well as analysing this data to improve therapeutic results, within a framework of high-performance scientific-professional research. To this end, the seminar includes the participation of high-level professors, researchers and clinical staff from various universities and health systems, including the Universitat de València and the Valencian Healthcare System and the University of Barcelona and the Catalonian Healthcare System, as well as the University College London and the National Health System of England, among others.
This seminar is oriented towards professionals who would like to stay up to date on the most recent national and international advances in research on psychological treatments of emotional disorders in primary care, as well as clinical psychologists and other mental healthcare professionals.
