He has carried out teaching and research tasks at the Universidad de Extremadura (2003-2007), the Universidad de Granada (2007-2009) and the Universitat de València (since 2009), where he is Associate Professor since 2016. His research deals with topics such as Relativity, the study of time series using wavelets, data envelopment analysis and multi-criteria decision-making methods.

I am Jorge Mortes Alcaraz, a mathematician and Ph.D. in Operations Research from IMT Atlantique and HEC Montréal. My research focuses on developing data-driven optimization algorithms to improve decision-making in intelligent transportation systems, as well as on diversity and equity optimization problems. This work has led to publications in leading scientific journals and book chapters, as well as presentations at national and international conferences. I have experience in university teaching in mathematics, programming, and optimization, as well as in applied research in collaboration with companies. In this context, I have designed mathematical models, heuristic algorithms, and web applications aimed at solving logistics and planning challenges. My profile is centered on mathematical modeling, programming (Python, Java, C++), and data analysis, with a practical focus on innovation in transportation, logistics, and process management.

Doctor in Mathematics and professor in the Department of Mathematics for Economics and Business at the Faculty of Economics, University of Valencia. My research has focused on the field of Operations Research, and I have mainly worked on Project Scheduling and Planning, Machine Scheduling, Hospital Process Management, Warehouse Management, and Real-Time Resource Management. A defining characteristic of my research trajectory has been my interest in studying real-world problems arising in business environments. My research has been carried out within the TEGEM group (www.uv.es/tegem) at the University of Valencia. The results of our work have been published in various book chapters and international peer-reviewed scientific journals. I am the author of numerous presentations at national and international conferences and have participated in a large number of national research projects as well as in collaboration agreements with different companies. Further information about the research carried out can be found on the TEGEM group website. I teach in the Master’s Degree in Business Process Planning and Management at the Faculty of Economics, University of Valencia (https://www.uv.es/masterpgpe). The Master’s Degree aims for preparing professionals capable of designing, planning, optimizing and controlling the productive systems and business services, leaning on analytical methods and IT tools, as well as on principles of Business Administration and Management. It is fundamentally addressed to active professionals, graduated, licenced and senior engineers specialised in Technical and Basic Sciences and Social Sciences whose formation is related with Business Administration and Management.

PhD in Mathematics, Professor in the Department of Mathematics for Economics and Business, and Co-director of the Master's Program in Business Process Planning and Management. His research area is Operations Research. He works on solving vehicle routing problems, particularly in the field of arc routing problems, through the design and implementation of exact and metaheuristic algorithms. He is a member of the Combinatorial Optimization Research Group (GROC) and has been continuously involved in competitive research projects since 2001.
