SUSTAGRI DEVELOPS A MULTIPLIER EVENT IN CANAL DE NAVARRÉS TO SHOW ITS TRAINING PLATFORMS IN SUSTAINABILITY AND ONLINE TRADE FOR THE FORESTRY SECTOR

The Erasmus+ project “SUSTAGRI 4.0: Digital Marketing to promote sustainability in the Agri- food sector” , has developed a series of tools to support the training of professionals in the agro-industrial sector and students of training cycles in the agricultural, forestry or livestock branches. In particular, it has carried out an online training course with a special focus on digitalization, entrepreneurship and sustainability skills. In addition, it has developed an online commerce platform to develop practices for creating digital businesses to promote the local market.

On March 22, a Multiplier Event will take place at the IES La Canal de Navarrés, open and free, aimed at the training cycles of Use and Conservation of the Natural Environment and Forestry and Natural Environment Management, in which attendees will have the opportunity to know these tools first-hand.

All in all, this project addresses the training needs of the agri-food sector in terms of sustainability, digitalization and entrepreneurship, with orientation towards the training branches of vocational training in the agricultural and related sectors. In this way, it responds to the initiatives of co-creation of a free training program to cover the needs of digital and entrepreneurship skills in the agri-food sector , mainly at the points of production and sale of the value chain, with the aim of increase sustainability in the sector and reduce the digital divide. This program is intended for both active professionals and students and trainers of intermediate and higher degrees in vocational training, in agricultural, livestock, fishing, forestry, gardening, local markets, eco-tourism or related sectors .

This training has a direct impact on improving skills professionalizing , both in terms of intensification ( upskilling ) and recycling ( reskilling ), in line with the Life-long Learning paradigm ( Life-long learning ), in which the University stands out as a facilitating agent of learning experiences.

SUSTAGRI is funded by the European Commission under the reference 2021-2-IE01-KA220-VET- 000049494, within the framework of the Strategic Partnerships Program for Teaching Innovation in the Vocational Training Sector.

This project is participated by the University of Valencia , through the Teaching Innovation Group in Chemical Engineering and the Environment, of the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Valencia. It is part of a consortium led by an Irish entrepreneurship training entity -F6S-, a Greek agricultural development institute - iAgroCert -, and two Italian training entities specialized in digitalization and online commerce - MVNGO and Quality Culture-.
Actions like this project reinforce the spirit of the University of Valencia as a driver of the sustainable transition of our society , and highlight the role of knowledge transfer to other sectors of education. Likewise, the Valencian ecosystem continues to be nourished with opportunities for training, reflection and collaboration in the field of sustainability, in line with the spirit of the distinction of the City of Valencia as European Green Capital 2024 , awarded by the European Commission.
