Information for academic year 2025-2026
If you are interested in carrying out a mobility stay of the International Programme you have to make sure you have the Language level requested.
NOTICE (11/11/24): As a result of the extension of the application period because of the DANA, the required language certificates may also be submitted until November 29, 2024.
Students who have lost their language certificate due to the DANA 2024 floods may submit a declaration of responsibility in their application and provide the certificate once they obtain a duplicate. The following form must be used:

For students who plan to take the TOEFL or IELTS exam during the application period, in order to subsequently submit their English certificate, the procedure is modified as follows:
1. Attach to the application, within the new period, proof of registration that accredits the name and surname of the interested party and the date of the exam, which may be at the latest November 29, 2024.
2. Send the TOEFL or IELTS certificate to the email address programa.internacional@uv.es before December 30, 2024.
In the “Student Service Portal” you can check the provisional destination offer and the linguistic requirements for every university (admitted qualifications and required level). You must select “Exchange programme with other universities”, “Exchange Programme Consultation”, "Center", "Degree" and "Type of scholarship: PI". When two or more language degrees appear in a university, it is enough to accredit only one of the two.
NOTICE: We are updating the information that currently appears in the Student Portal about the language required in each destination of the International Program, so there may be changes until the end of October.
Only the language requirement required in the student portal for each university will be taken into account, regardless of whether there are universities that accept other certificates of different languages.
- All the universities from USA, Canada (Anglophone), Australia, Japan, China, Indonesia, Vietnam and Southern Korea request a certain knowledge of English, accredited with the certificates TOFEL IBT and IELTS. IN China and Japan you can also prove your knowledge of Chinese and Japanese, provided that this is stated in the Student Portal.
- In case of the Montreal University (Canada) it is required to prove a C1 level of French, in accordance with the L2 Language Adviser Committee Annex (Updated by UV Governing Council on 07/23/21) of the Universitat de Valencia.
Your language knowledge must be proved by Portal Serveis Estudiant before the deadline for submitting the applications (29 November 2024). To provide different certificates of the same language, they must be attached in a single pdf in the corresponding language field.
However, in case you prove your level of English through the TOFEL IBT and IELTS exams, the deadline will be on 30 December 2024 non-extendable. In that case, if you don't have your English certificate before 29 November, you must attach to your application your certificate of enrolment for TOEFL or IELT exam as far as you are taking the exam until November 29, and you can present your score not later than December 30th, 2024.
IMPORTANT: The certificate with the note must be sent scanned by email to the address: programa.internacional@uv.es. Certificates that do not arrive within the deadline will not be taken into account.
You can obtain more information on the TOFEL exam as well as different centres where you can take it and the dates of the call through www.toefl.org (you can view the following exam dates that will take place in Spain
TOEFL iBT Home Edition: it is possible to obtain this certificate. Students who present this certificate to access the International Program scholarship will be accepted by the University of Valencia to participate in the awarding of scholarships, always conditioned on the fact that the destination university accepts the TOEFL iBT Home Edition as proof of the language requirement.
