The academic network was launched in 2007 by Cadence® Europe. The aim was to promote the proliferation of leading-edge technologies and methodologies at universities renowned for their engineering and design excellence. A knowledge network among selected European universities, research institutes, industry advisors and Cadence was established to facilitate the sharing of technology expertise in the areas of verification, design and implementation of microelectronic systems.

Research

Our main research topics are design and verification of analog and digital circuits and high-speed PCB design. For all these topics we rely on Cadence Virtuoso®, Spectre® (RF), Incisive® Unified Simulator (IUS),  Encounter® Digital Implementation System (EDI) and Allegro SI/PI.

Education

We use Cadence tools for subjects at undergraduate and master level. Cadence tools are used in the Degree of Telecommunications Electronic Engineering (AWR tools in the labs in “Telecommunication Electronic Systems” and “High-frequency circuits and subsystems”) and in the Master of Electronic Engineering and Master in Telecommunications Engineering (Cadence IC & System tools in the labs of Communication Technologies and Projects ing Microelectronic Design).
