The main aim of the doctoral programme in Chemistry is that students acquire the appropriate knowledge and skills of a doctor in Chemistry with a level of excellence. This level is supported by the international indicators of the Faculty of Chemistry of the UV and the Department of Chemistry and the Institute of Chemical Technology of the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia. A second goal refers to its purpose, training researchers to integrate or leading research groups of universities, other public or private institutions and R&D departments in companies.The doctoral studies will grant, as a minimum, the acquisition by the doctoral student of the basic competencies listed in the Spanish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (MECES), namely: systematic understanding of a field of study of legal sciences, and mastery of its skills and methods of research; ability to conceive, design or create, implement and adapt a substantial process of research and creation; ability to make a critical and assessment analysis, and synthesis of new and complex ideas, as well as communication with the academic and scientific community and society in general about their fields of knowledge; and ability to promote, within academic and professional contexts, scientific, technological, social, artistic or cultural advance in a knowledge-based society.
