Pedro Valdelomar was born in Cartagena (Spain) on December 4, 1971. He holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de València (2001) and held a research fellowship until 2005. In 2003, he published two international patents in the field of infrared remote sensing (WO2004107289 and WO2004111920). In 2006, he founded NGARO Intelligent Solutions, a company specialized in computer vision and remote sensing, with which he received the Bancaja Award for Young Entrepreneurs, serving as CTO until 2010. In 2011, he created ARITHMETRICS Limited, focused on automation and remote sensing applied to water and air quality, where he worked as CEO until 2019. In 2014, he published a national patent on optical multitouch surfaces (ES2452173_A2). Since 2016, he has been pursuing doctoral studies in the Department of Earth Physics and Thermodynamics at the Universitat de València, within the remote sensing program. Since 2019, he has been working as a research staff member at the same university. His main line of research focuses on the use of sky cameras for the study of the atmosphere and solar radiation. |

[ Automatic translation ] Meritxell Garcia Suñer, graduated in Physics from the University of Valencia (2021) and Master in Advanced Physics (2022). She currently works as a pre-doctoral researcher in training in the Solar Radiation Group of the Department of Earth Physics and Thermodynamics, supported by the FPI-2022 grant associated with the project "Improvement of solar radiometry for the determination of the properties of atmospheric aerosols, and its application to the determination of long-term trends." Therefore, his research focuses on the study of the properties of atmospheric aerosols (and the algorithms used to obtain these products) by means of solar photometry. In addition, she actively participates as a student-researcher in the COST action HARMONIA (International network for harmonization of atmospheric aerosol retrievals from ground based photometers). |
