Title of the project:
Applying, analysing and creating with literary anglophone texts: learning and evaluating higher cognitive levels of the bloom’s taxonomy in theory groups of subjects of english literature
Description of the project:
The members of the project have designed materials for the applications of training activities and evaluation methods that lead to the achievement of learning results based in levels or higher domains of the Bloom’s taxonomy (application, analysis and synthesis, reformulated by Krathwohl with the verbs “apply”, “analyse” and “create”) in theoretical groups (80 students) of compulsory subjects of English literature, of the Degree in English Studies.
It is aimed that the elaborated materials relate in an effective way the stated learning results for each subject and topic, the activities and teaching methods carried out in class and the evaluation systems; and also making a reflection on these practices. Specifically, this application and reflection focuses on the results that are harder to get with groups of 80 or more students, that is, those that involve the application of knowledge assimilated and understood (inferior cognitive levels) in new situations, through the resolution of problems by explaining the interrelations between the components of an idea, or through the creation of new ideas from the synthesis of previous knowledge.
