
Professor Silvia Barona Vilar, member of the Sustainable Law in a state of global change (JUSOST) project, participated in the presentation of the book 'Acceso a la Justicia de los consumidores en Chile. Nuevas tecnologías y sistemas de ODR a partir de la experiencia europea,' held at the Autonomous University of Chile.
The work, whose writer is Doctor Sebastián Alberto Bozzo Hauri, tackles the impact of new technologies and systems of online dispute resolution (ODR) in the access to justice by consumers, including a compared perspective based on the European experience,
During the presentation ceremony, professor Barona shared reflections on current challenges that digitisation implies in the field of justice specially, in relation to consumer protection and the need for developing effective, accessible, and sustainable mechanisms of dispute resolution.
The participation of Professor Barona in this international event reinforces educational links between Europe and Latin America, and is aligned with the JUSOST project goals, focused on the analysis of justice models adapted to contemporary technological and social changes.
