Students who have enrolled for the first time in the Universitat de València to begin their degree studies can use the Entreiguals programme of mentorship between students. It is a proposal by the University that supposes a great opportunity to begin their trajectory and to get used to, in few time, with University life. The Entreiguals programme puts in contact First Year students and incoming students with a classmate of superior years in their faculty or school to help them in the incorporation to the University.
A Entreiguals mentor, as well as having gone through the experience of being a new student, the mentor has been taught to stablish a relationship of aid and accompanying and, in coordination with the teaching staff responsible of each centre, they develop actions to promote academic, personal, and social integration of the new student. The Entreiguals mentor s are prepared, therefore to give useful information about the University, helping them to know how to use academic resources, moving around Campus and locating rooms, laboratories and departments, as well as discovering the participation possibilities of participation and interesting complementary activities, among others.
What does a student have to do if they want to have an Entreiguals mentor?
