Valencia hosts the tenth edition of the Quantum Information in Spain Conference (ICE-10)
This week, Valencia is hosting the tenth edition of the Quantum Information in Spain Conference (ICE-10), the annual meeting of the Spanish Network of Quantum Information (RITCE), which brings together national and international researchers in the fields of quantum computing, communications, metrology, and thermodynamics, among other related areas.
The meeting aims to strengthen the national quantum ecosystem and provide a platform for visibility and collaboration, especially aimed at young researchers starting their scientific careers in this emerging field.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Joaquín Aldas, Vice-Rector for Planning, Quality and Technologies at the University of Valencia (UV), and featured the participation of the organizers Mr. Armando Pérez (UV and IFIC), Mr. Manuel Geser (UV and IFIC), Mr. José Manuel Claver (coordinator of the UV-Tirant RES node), and Mr. Jorge Mocholí, Deputy Director General for Science and Research of the Generalitat Valenciana. All of them emphasized the relevance of quantum technologies and their transformative potential in society and science.
ICE-10 has brought together more than 150 researchers in the field, who over the coming days will present their advances in 56 scientific talks and two poster sessions.
This edition has been organized by professors and researchers from the University of Valencia, the Institute of Corpuscular Physics (IFIC), and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), with the support of various projects and public institutions that promote the development of quantum research in Spain.
