From the Computing Service we have launched a new videoconferencing service based on Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.
The new Blackboard Collaborate Ultra has notable improvements over the current Adobo Connect, and does not require installing any plugins or software, since it is based on HTML5. It is very easy to operate and works smoothly on any operating system, including portable devices or smartphones. The new Blackboard Collaborate is managed from the Virtual Classroom (Moodle) and it is the user himself who creates his sessions in courses or communities, without the obligation to reserve rooms from the Virtual Secretariat as was the case until now. The user is also the one who invites attendees to their sessions and who has access to the URLs of the recordings, also in MP4 format. To request the use of this new videoconferencing system it will be necessary to make a single application, which will allow its handling throughout the academic year.

Soon we will publish our own documentation on the operation of Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.
The service of the current Adobo Connect will stop working as of the next Gener 1 of 2020, although the recordings will continue to be available upon request.
