Universitat de València Chair of Youth has opened the call for the 4th edition of the Award for the best academic projct about youyh, according to the resolution of the Principal Office on 13 June 2025 announced on 31 Jly 2025 on DOGV and on 4 August 2025 on the UV Official Board.
This award aimes to promote research and academic production regarding analyses of youth and intervention on people between 12 and 30 while giving visibility and recognition to students and young researchers who contribute to the youth reality and generate useful knowledge for public policies and professional practice through their projects.
Who can participate?
Participants must be students and graduate of any advanced vocational training cycle or Spanish university who have defended their final projects or Doctoral Thesis in the 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 academic year. Projects must have receive a minimum score of 8 and not have been presented in previous ediions of the award.
The award will divide 2200 € among the winners:
- 300 € for the best Cycle Final Project,
- 400 € for the best Degree Final Project,
- 500 € for the best Master's Degree Final Project,
- 1.000 € for the best Doctoral Thesis.
Additionaly, project tutors and thesis directors of the winner projects will receive acreditation recognising their teaching and guiding work.
Evaluation and submission deadline
The projects will be evaluated by a three member jury made of the Chair of Youth Principal Office members. The criteria will iclude the overall quality of the project, the possibility of implementation of the results and interventions, the multi-agent perspective and wether the process and results of the project have been trasferred and shared among these agents, reinforcing relevant alliances that may have a transforming impact favourable to the work with young people. The award might not won if none of the projects gets the minimum scored stablished.
Submission deadline is on 10 September 2025 and must be registered on Universitat de València online office by filling the corresponding form.
The Chair of Youth wants to give voice and visibility to the academic effort from different disciplines that bring new perspectives and knowledge about youth. This was, the academic and professional debate improves and generates contributions that help the well-being and opportunities of young people.
