On the weekend of the 27 to 29 September took place the 8th Comic Days at the La Nau Cultural Centre in which the Chair for Comic Studies SM-UV Foundation participated. The event closed with great success in terms of attendance and with the presence of renowned authors and editors.
The 8th Valencia Comic Days, organised by ASOVALCOM in collaboration with the Comic Society of the Universitat de València and the Chair for Comic Studies SM-UV Foundation, closed on 29 September with great success in terms of attendance. During the three days of the event, more than 2,500 people visited the La Nau Cultural Centre, approaching the more than 30 stands of libraries, publishers, artists and associations which showed the vast panorama of the current and past comic.
The event was attended by a considerable number of guest authors such as Manel Fontdevila, Luna Pan, MacDiego, Martín López Lam, Soy Cardo, Nuria Tamarit, Rafa Vaquer, Borja González, Xulia Vicente, Luis NCT, Guillermo Mogorrón, Ángel Muñoz, Amelia Navarro, Juanjo Cuerda, Julio Serrano, José Fonollosa, Jordi Bayarri and Juanfer Briones, who participated in meet and greets with the public and signed their works for the assistants.
For the three days of the event 27 activities took place. Among them were workshops for children (in which more than 100 kids participated) and exhibitions, like the one dedicated to the work of Ana Peñas, Ángel Muñoz, Ricardo Vílbor, Juanjo Cuerda and Julio Serrano, with a presentation of the originals of some of their pieces or the educational exhibition Código Cómic (Code Comic).
