The Chair for Agri-food Cooperatives of the Universitat de València, through its Agri-food Cooperatives School, has incorporated this year a specialised course on "Credit in Agri-food Cooperatives", developed in collaboration with ADEIT, University-Bussiness Foundation, within the offer of university-specific degrees of the Universitat de València.
This training programme is aimed for sector professionals, technical personnel, boards and public interested in cooperative finance management. It’s goal is to offer a solid and applied training on the functioning regulation and managemenr of the credit departments in the agri-food area.
A training aimed to finance strengthening in cooperativism
This course includes essential contents to understand and manage credit departments properly. For instance:
- Legal frame and supervision of credit departments.
- Economic and finance management, and inner control of agri-food cooperatives.
- Government good practices and risk assessment.
- The role of credit departments in liquidity and funding support of agriculture.
- The training course combines a rigorous academic perspective with the experience of sector professionals, giving the students useful tools for making decisions in the cooperative context.
Betting on skills and professionalism in the sector
The Chair and ADEIT strengthen their commitment with professionalism and continuous improvement of agri-food cooperatives by offering specialised and adapted training for the real needs of the sector.
The School of Agri-Food Cooperativism keeps broadening its programme offer, becoming a reference space for advanced education and training in social economy and agri-food cooperativism.
