The ATA Chair-Universitat de València emerges as an agreement between two entities. The National Federation of Self-employed Workers Association (ATA) and the Universitat de València aims to develop training, cultural research and university extension activities are focused forward the knowledge and permanent diffusion of freelance work, its social and economic importance and its legal regime.

The scope of the Chair includes the entire Spain and expands in any interest for freelances. The Chair is regulated by a joint committee with the representatives of the ATA and professor of the UV who are experts in economics, commercial, financial and labour issues, a event which bring evidence to the open and multidisciplinary character of this Chair.
