Esta presentación abarca los programas de rehabilitación y reeducación de niños implementados por psiquiatras y pedagogos cubanos a raíz de la Revolución de 1959. Se enfoca en particular sobre la preocupación por niños "afeminados" y sus influencias y repercusiones tanto profesionales como políticas.

Jennifer Lambe (PhD, Yale University, History) is an Associate Professor of Latin American and Caribbean History at Brown University. She is the author of Madhouse: Psychiatry and Politics in Cuban History (Chapel Hill: University of North Carolina Press, 2017) and, together with Michael Bustamante, co-editor of The Revolution from Within: Cuba, 1959-1980 (Durham: Duke University Press, 2019). She has published articles on a variety of topics in Cuban history in Cuban Studies, Bulletin of the History of Medicine, Journal of Latin American Studies, New West Indian Guide, Radical Historical Review, Past & Present, and Journal of American History, among other
