Coordinator of the Degree in Pedagogy and Full Professor in the Department of Comparative Education and History of Education at the University of Valencia (UV), where she has been working as an academic, teaching, and researcher in various academic positions since 2005. A professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Alicante since 2001, she also holds a degree in Pedagogy from the Faculty of Philosophy and Educational Sciences at the UV since 2004. For the latter degree, she received first prize for academic promotion and second state prize in 2005 from the Valencian and state education authorities, respectively. She holds a PhD in "Education in Political and Social Studies" since 2010, following a four-year contract awarded to her doctoral proposal by the Valencian Council of Science and Technology. Her dissertation with European Mention obtained the Extraordinary Doctoral Award from the UV in 201 and the V Roselló Award for the best doctoral thesis from the Spanish Society of Comparative Education in 2012, opening a line of research focused on Early Childhood Education and Care from a comparative perspective. During the last decade, she has been working in various national and international networks and projects that focus on the study of this field. Dr. Ancheta Arrabal's interest and research focuses on the Right to Education, Children's Rights and the role of Education for equity and social justice. For this reason, she has also collaborated professionally in and with different entities, scientific-academic societies and NGOs, as well as being a member of the Analytical Sociology Laboratory (Edu) of the UV since 2018, the Spanish Society of Comparative Education and the Comparative Education European Society, and the GISBE and GRECIA research groups at the UV. Since 2014, Dr. Ana Ancheta Arrabal has been Secretary of the UV Center for Comparative Education, where she has promoted and implemented various scientific and academic activities, as well as dissemination activities on Comparative and International Education, the right to education, Children's Rights, global agendas for education, and the Global Campaign for Education, with which she has been cooperating since 2007.
