The last edition of the CONTD sessions of Contents for Digital Television organised each spring by the Universitat de València and the Master’s Degree in Contents and Audiovisual formats offered during three days an open debate and colloquium space to reflect about how the Internet allows science disclosure; particularly, how online videos are a strong tool to reach users. 

Videos compose more than a 70 % of the Internet traffic already. That is why disclosure science experts are willing to take advantage of its potential to communicate this discipline. Videonline is a project born with the aim to make videos become a communication and disclosure tool of science. This study is directed by Bienvenido León and the Universitat de València takes part on it, analysing narrative forms used by online videos of scientific thematic.

First conclusions of this research state that communicating science topics through videos is a task requiring dedication and also a wide knowledge but it is certainly effective. Now you can watch a documentary about this project. 

Technologic and scientific development is undoubtedly the engines of the new digital era and the information society and knowledge now that we are in the 21st century. Unsurprisingly, science awakens interest in other disciplines now that development and future have to do directly with scientific advances. Because of this, the last edition of the CONTD sessions counts with some thematic lines related to links between science and society, scientific rigour and technical quality.
