The University of Valencia and the Master’s Degree in Media Content and Formats have been organizing the CONTD Conferences (Contents for Digital Television) since 2007 without interruption.
It is a space for analysis for content experts and researchers, creators and innovators of new formats, as well as channels, platforms and media companies and professionals. Over the years, this event has become a reference from which to establish bridges of dialogue between all the agents involved in media creation and production: industry, university and administration.
In addition, the CONTD Conferences are the culmination of the Master’s Degree in Media Content and Formats, where the student presents their media projects to a selection and representation of the Valencian and Spanish media industry in a session in the form of a professional pitch.
From 2015 to 2023, the CONTD Conferences merged with TVMorfosis, a program created by Canal 44 of the University of Guadalajara (Mexico) and ATEI (Asociación de Televisiones Educativas y Culturales Iberoamericanas) that was broadcast live, transforming into a television format that featured guests and experts from the international media sector.
TVMorfosis continues to be an initiative that aims to open a discussion forum between Europe and Ibero-America to draw conclusions about the situation of the digital media flow and provide benchmarks for balance and regularization in the different areas of audiovisual communication.
Since 2024, however, the CONTD Conferences have recovered their original spirit, fully connecting with the nearest media sector, without forgetting the global projection, which is capable of taking an interest in the projects of our students and making them a reality.
