XVI Workshop in Banking and Quantitative Finance

On the 9, 10 and 11 July, it will be held in the Funchas’ Madrid headquarter the 16th conference edition on Master’s Interuniversity Workshop in Quantitative Banking and Finance.

At the annual Master's Workshop, students are required to publicly defend their research work, followed by a comment from an expert in the field.

In addition, two other types of events are scheduled. On the one hand, the business days, thanks to which the students will be able to establish contacts with important entities of the sector. On the other hand, at least one talk is always planned for the last day, on this occasion the talks will be on the 9th, "Bitcoins and Blockchain: the unusual utility of useless mathematics" by Josu Sangroniz (Director of Postgraduate Studies UPV/EHU), and on the 11th, "The Banking Union: institutional architecture" by Juan Ayora (Senior financial expert in Single Resolution Board, SRB).

A total of 18 students will present their theses, accompanied by their tutors.
