Marta Cuesta, a Master’s Degree student of the academic year 2015-16, has found her true calling as a boatwoman in L'Albufera.
As reported in the “Travel” section of National Geographic, Marta decided to study our Master's Degree and, in her own words, “in that Master’s I began to discover my love for birds thanks to a subject and whenever I could I would escape to L’Albufera, I would always do my projects on it...”. Then she met Rosa, the first boatwoman in L'Albufera and... the rest is history. Nowadays Marta has managed to work as a boatwoman and, as a good biologist specialised in biodiversity and conservation, she always tries to transmit the importance and fragility of this beautiful natural park to the people who visit it.
