At the beginning of the academic year 2022-23 the students of the Master's Degree visited the facilities of the company NEVAL in Xilxes-Castellón.

During this visit to NEVAL, the students were able to observe in situ the damage caused by phytopathogenic nematodes in different crops, as well as to learn about the different tests conducted on the effectiveness of fertilisers and phytosanitary products.

In February, the company provided samples of both crops and turf for the Master's, so that students could identify which species of phytopathogenic nematodes cause major economic losses.

This recent collaboration with an international benchmark company in the diagnosis of plant pathogenic nematodes and in vitro and pot tests with these organisms, which also houses the first private collection of plant-parasitic nematodes in Spain, has allowed the students to broaden their knowledge in this field.
