On 7 November at 7 p.m., the Main Hall of La Nau will host a colloquium between various women judges from Afghanistan and València, in which they will discuss equality and justice.

Fariba Quraishi and Gulalai Hotak, magistrates of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan, will narrate in first person the brutal persecution they suffer at the hands of the Islamists. After the definitive fall of Afghanistan into the hands of the Taliban, they were forced to flee the country to escape the hatred against them for their dual status as women and judges. Hosted in Spain, their testimony is essential to make the world aware of the hell Afghan women are living through.

Fariba Quraishi and Gulalai Hotak will share their experience and participate in a colloquium on equality and justice with three jurists from JJpD (Judges for Democracy), magistrates Ana Pérez Tórtola, Gloria Poyatos Mata and Luis Manglano Sada.

The meeting has been organised by the Valencian territorial section of Judges for Democracy (JJpD), the Equality Commission of JJpD and the UV Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Society. Prior registration is required.
