Professor of Philosophy of Law. Teacher at the Department of Philosophy of Law and Politics and researcher at the Institute of Human Rights. Graduate and Doctor in Law from the Universitat de València Estudi General. She has been director of the University Institute of Human Rights at the University of Valencia (2005-2010) and Secretary General of the University (2010-2018).

Her research deals with topics specific to the philosophy of law and human rights. Among them: interpretation and argumentation in human rights, social rights, equality and anti-discrimination law, immigration, law and gender perspective, access to justice, theory of law and legal argumentation.

In the research field, her doctoral thesis received the national prize for social and political theses from the Centre for Constitutional Studies in 1987. Her research deals with topics specific to the philosophy of law and human rights. Among them: interpretation and argumentation in human rights, social rights, equality and anti-discrimination law, immigration, law and gender perspective, access to justice, theory of law and legal argumentation. She is the author of articles in specialized journals, book chapters and monographs in the aforementioned thematic areas. She is the director of seven doctoral theses. She has been a member of numerous research projects, most notably: Consolider-Ingenio-2010: "The Age of Human Rights" (HURI-AGE) led by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and including 12 human rights research groups. Principal researcher of two projects on human rights, integration and global justice within the framework of the Prometeo programme for groups of excellence of the Generalitat Valenciana, she has also carried out her research within the framework of national R+D+I programmes since 1993 without interruption.

He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Valencia in subjects related to the area of knowledge: theory of law, philosophy of law, legal sociology, legal argumentation and human rights since 1984. As well as teaching in the third cycle in masters and doctoral programmes in different Spanish and Latin American universities. Currently, he has a Master's Degree in Law, Business and Justice, a Master's Degree in Human Rights, Democracy and International Justice and a Master's Degree in Law and Gender Violence.

She has directed the Journal Anuario de Filosofía del Derecho (2006-2015), Cuadernos Electrónicos de Filosofía del Derecho and is coordinator of the publication Teoría y Derecho. Revista de Pensamiento Jurídico, since 2007. She is a member of many editorial committees, participates in the evaluation of research projects of different agencies and has been a member of academic juries in the legal field.

Marina Sancho López es profesora en el Departamento de Derecho Civil en la Universitat de València y Secretaria Académica del Máster en Derecho y Violencia de Género. Doctorada cum laude en Derecho, por el que recibió el premio extraordinario de Doctorado, tiene un Máster en Derechos Humanos, Democracia y Justicia Internacional, así como una Licenciatura en Derecho por la Universitat de València.

Miembro del grupo de investigación de la Universitat de València "Grupo de Estudio del Derecho Privado Europeo y Digital - GEVDPE" (GIUV2013-118). En este marco centra su actividad investigadora y análisis jurídico crítico, cuyas líneas principales oscilan en torno al estudio del impacto de las nuevas tecnologías en los derechos fundamentales desde una perspectiva iusprivatista, así como el derecho a la protección de datos personales en el nuevo paradigma tecnológico o la afectación de los nuevos derechos digitales al sistema de responsabilidad civil, así como el estudio integral de la mujer y la violencia de género, la doctrina del consentimiento y los límites de la autonomía de la voluntad. Actualmente, dirige sus investigaciones hacia la emergencia habitacional y la exclusión y desposesión residencial, estudiando como los procesos de financiarización y datificación de la vivienda impactan en el derecho a una vivienda digna y la articulación con el derecho de propiedad y su función social.

En este contexto, ha participado como IP y en los equipos de investigación y trabajo de proyectos financiados por distintas entidades públicas y ha realizado estancias internacionales en centros de prestigio como la School of Law de la New York University (EEUU), la Faculty of Law de la University of Cambridge (Reino Unido) o el Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht (Hamburgo).

Es Profesora Colaboradora en la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya y en la Universidad de Osnabrück (Alemania) y ejerce, a su vez, como árbitro de la Junta Arbitral de Consumo de la Comunitat Valenciana, y como miembro del Comité de Ética de la Investigación con Medicamentos (CEIm) del Hospital Universitario Doctor Peset de Valencia. También ha sido tutora en la Clínica Jurídica por la Justicia Social de la Universitat de València, ha participado en distintos contratos suscritos al amparo del artículo 60 de la LOSU, con ONGs y entidades del tercer sector. Cabe añadir la realización de distintas estancias docentes, en las universidades de Bucarest y Toulouse, así como la obtención de subvenciones del Programa Erasmus+ y la formalización de distintos contratos para la elaboración de material y recursos docentes.

Entre sus publicaciones, sobresalen los libros “Derecho al Olvido y Big Data: dos realidades convergentes” (Tirant lo Blanch, 2020) y “La protección de datos en el Reino Unido: evolución del right to privacy y escenarios post-Brexit” (Aranzadi Thomson Reuters, 2019). Dentro de la producción científica reciente destacan “La gobernanza algorítmica de la vivienda el Mercado Único Digital: del aprovechamiento patrimonial de los datos a la exclusión residencial” (Aranzadi, 2027); “Cumplimiento normativo en la era de la Inteligencia Artificial: Directiva (UE) 2024/2853 sobre productos defectuosos y la responsabilidad de bienes intangibles y servicios digitales” (Actualidad Jurídica Iberoamericana, 24, 2026); “Nueva Directiva europea contra la violencia de género. Punitivismo, capacidad de agencia y garantismo” (La Ley Unión Europea, 131, 2024) o “El valor del consentimiento en la sociedad posmoderna de consumo digital” (AJI, 21, 2024).
