Doctor José Miguel Soriano del Castillo, professor of Nutrition of the UV, has coedited, alongside with Doctor Montoro of the Radiation Protection Service of the University and Polytechnic Hospital La Fe, the first book which gathers the last advances on radio-protectors of natural origin.
It involves a pioneer work at the national and international level, elaborated on the occasion of the 160 years of the birth of the discoverer of radioactivity (Henri Becquerel) and with the help of the project entitled ‘Estudio de radioprotectores de origen alimentario para pacientes y trabajadores en procedimientos de tratamiento o diagnóstico médico con radiaciones’ (Study on Radioactivity of food origin for patients and works in treatment and medical diagnosis procedures with radiations) belonging with the support R+D (Research for Development) related to the nuclear security and radiologic protection of the NSC.
The publication has been published by the Nuclear Security Council (NSC) and researchers of both institutions as well as the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL) have participated in it.
