Congresos 2015

This year has taken place three significant Conferences on Physiology in our country and we explain here the highlights of each one of them

10 december 2015

The Conferences on Physiology are an exceptional tool for the interchange of knowledge between all the attendees and an excellent opportunity to widen the studies of that field. In Spain take place numerous Conferences, many of them included in the master’s degree programme of this field, and then we will present the three that took place this year and have had a bigger repercussion.

  • Plant Physiology in Toledo, from 14 to 17 June. In this conference developed a the same time the 21st Meeting of the Spanish Society of Plant Physiology and the 14th Spanish-Portuguese Conference of Plant Physiology. This Conference was carried out in English and the attendees could ask their questions in English, Spanish or Portuguese. The presentations focused on the new advances of this science. The complete programme is available here.
  • 11th Meeting of the Spanish Society of In-Vitro Culture of Plant Tissue, in Valencia on 3 and 4 September. This Conference combined talks in English and talks in Spanish. The topic of the Conference were micropropagation in firms and laboratories, the molecular and physiological bases of the in-vitro culture and the in-vitro production of secondary metabolisms. The complete programme is available here.
  • 37th Conference of the Spanish Society of Physiological Sciences (SECF), from 24 to 26 September in Granada. This Conference focused on the newest basic and applied aspects of the Physiological Sciences. The attendees could consult the progress of the conferences and the schedules through an Android application created deliberately for the occasion. The presented works were later published in Acta Physiologica, official journal of the Federation of European Societies on Physiology (FEPS). All the information on this Conferece is available here.

These three have been the most relevant Conferences on Physiology in our country this year, but take place many more. The human physiology, its relation with the anatomy, the pathophysiology and specially the Alzheimer’s pathophysiology are the most popular topics nowadays in these Conferences, both national and internationally. These events suppose an exceptional opportunity to continue widening the knowledges of this science in doctoral or research levels, since the ideas interchange produced in these meetings strengthen the development of new research lines and the encouragement of the team work.
