
The Spanish Society of Physiological Sciences calls these prizes for which the registration period is open until 30 March 2016
The SECF calls prizes for the best doctoral thesis in physiology and the best work of scientific dissemination to award the work in these areas and help their dissemination. The registration period for this call is open until 30 March 2016.
- Prize of the SEFC to the best doctoral thesis in Physiology
The objective is to find the best doctoral thesis in physiology of the year. Any doctoral thesis in physiology defended after September 2014 can be presented. The interested people must send a copy of their work (in PDF FORMAT) to secf@us.es and, also, attach a less than 20 lines abstract, a CV and evidences of the quality of the thesis, such as publications in journals or distinctions.
The winner is decided by a jury formed by three people of the SECF Board of Directors. They will evaluate the works regarding their quality and relevance to choose the best doctoral thesis in Physiology. The prize consists of 1,000€ and an accrediting diploma, and it will be delivered during the celebration of the 38th Congress of the SECF in Zaragoza.

- 2nd Prize of the SEFC to the best scientific dissemination work
The objective of this award is to promote the scientific dissemination and reward the best project of the year that has helped the scientific culture in society to grow.
Any person or collective that have carried out the dissemination activity within physiology after September 2014 can apply for their participation. The candidates must send their application form to secf@us.es and must include their contact data (name, address, email and telephone) and an abstract of the proposal (maximum 30 lines). This prize is open to all the formats: videos, books, theatres, etc. The participants must consider that, once they have sent the material, it belongs to SECF. It will be positively valued that the candidates also include evidences that demonstrate their proposal has had an impact in society.
The valuation of the award will be carried out by a jury formed by five people designated by the Board of Directors. The originality, the rigour and the continuity of the proposal, among other elements, will be valued. The jury will be formed by renowned people in the field of dissemination and their names will be published once the competition is resolved.
The prize consists of 1,000€ and an accrediting diploma that will be delivered during the celebration of the 38th Congress of the SECF in Zaragoza.
