Next Thursday, 2 March the Príncipe Felipe Research Centre hosts once again the celebration of the Researchers workshop in Rare Diseases of the Valencian Country.
Once again this year and coinciding with the celebration of the World Rare Disease Day and the International Women’s Day, is organised in the CIPF a Session to give visibility to the rare diseases, to the last progress of their researches and to the patients who suffered them.
The translational research is focused in these minority pathologies and the work carried out by women who work in this field will also be subjects discussed during the conferences where researchers and patients will converse about the need for awareness-raising about this kind of diseases. Both parts are apart from the society: one for suffering from an uncommon disease, and the other one for investigating on them knowing it is a difficult area with few resources. The intention is clear: to show that who suffers a rare disease is not isolated nor the researchers who decide to work in this sector.
The conference will bring together researchers, institutional posts, health professionals and patientes. Their ultimate aim is to promote an improvement in the living conditions of those people who feel frequently isolated and socially marginalised, making public the research and the work that association of patients make about these diseases in Spain.
