The Utrecht Network, through its Task Forces, offers a range of activities to member institutions and partners. The Network holds regular calls for new initiatives which meet its strategic aims.

Current activity organised by the Network includes:

Staff Training programmes

Summer Schools

Young Researchers Grant programme

The Utrecht Network offers mobility periods for young researchers in other universities which are network members (Young Researcher’s Grant).

The stay must have a length of minimum 1 month and maximum 6 months between 1 April 2020 and 31 March 2021. The grant, 1.000€, is limited to thesis research on MA and PhD level. Although students are allowed to take courses as well, priority will be given to “only-research” PhD students.

Students must be enroled in one of the Universitat de València's master or PhD programmes and not be eligible for Erasmus+.

Applications for participation 2020/21 can be sent to avillen@uv.es before the 2 February 2020 and must include:

  • Application form (Student application form YRG)
  • Letter of motivation
  • Letter of recommendation by the academic supervisor at the UV
  • Letter of acceptance by the academic supervisor at the host university based on the student's research project
  • Transcript of records of the undergraduate degree (for master students) or transcript of records of the master degree (for PhD students)

Applications will be assessed taking into account the average of the undergraduate degree (for master students) or the average of the master degree (for PhD students). Incomplete applications will not be taken into account.

The University of Valencia will make a preselection of up to 3 candidates which will be sent to the Task Force Student Mobility for its final decision.
