The Doctoral Studies in Human and Animal Parasitology has the goal of advanced training in the research techniques and leads to the obtaining of the official degree of Doctor, which has validity in the entire national territory, full academic effects and it is the degree of major academic relevance within the Spanish educational system. The Programme makes possible for students the acquisition of the scientific research methodology and the deepening in the knowledge of diverse subjects in the area of Parasitology.

The academic relevance is supported by the origin of the doctoral studies of the UVEG with a quality award "Human and Animal Parasitology", Resolution 28 May 2003, of the General Directorate of Universities in the non-profit doctoral programmes of the private and public universities (BOE, 12 June, 2003).

 

The doctoral programme in Human and Animal Parasitology has two periods: training and research.

The training period is set up by the Master's Degree in Tropical Parasitic Diseases. This degree has been subjected to verification by the ANECA. The training period, including the access and admission to it, falls within the competence of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Valencia. The body charged with the admission of students is the Academic Coordinating Committee (CCA).

The research period, including the access and admission to it, falls within the competence of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Valencia. This body responsible of the admission of students will be the Academic Coordinating Committee (CCD).
