Rafael Toledo is a professor of Parasitology at the University of Valencia. His research work has focused on epidemiology and immunology of intestinal infections developed both at his university and in other centers and laboratories in Europe and America, having published more than 150 scientific articles in international journals of the specialty. Likewise, he has been editor and co-author of several books in prestigious international scientific publishers. In particular, his research work has focused on the immune response factors that determine resistance to intestinal infections. From a teaching point of view, he has been responsible for teaching Immunology at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences at the University of Valencia for more than 25 years.
