As markers of his research excellence, we can underline that he has a total amount above 11000, has authored more than 500 publications, including more than 130 during the last 5 years (Q1: 78,8%; D1: 28.1%; h index: 54; h index: 22 in last five years. Present in Essential Science Indicators in two fields: Chemistry; Mol Biol & Biochem.).
Jiménez Barbero’s research activity has been focused on the development of NMR spectroscopy techniques and their application to the study of conformation and dynamics of the molecular recognition processes. This methodology has been applied to different wild-type molecular carbohydrate complexes and mutant lectins, and to the elucidation of the structure of the receptors of other proteins of biomedical interest.
The international recognition of the Master's Degree in Tropical Parasitic Diseases is achieved thanks to the participation of the best experts in their field, thus achieving a teaching excellence.
